Beautiful artwork and splendid premise. I'm raring to get it but current exchange rates are killing me!
Saw that community copies are over, googled if any local publishers got a translation underway here but all i could find was a reddit auto-translated post :(
Is there any chance of new copies or evan a Black Friday deal in the horizon??
I recently bought this through plusonexp but it only had 2 of the 5 digital files here and the pdf version is formatted weirdly having bleed from other pages on the left/right sides. Is it possibly to get a key for this itch version?
Hey! We must have sent the wrong file(s). Apologies for that. I'm working with the PlusOne team to get that resolved. In the meantime, can I message you a download key?
Absolutely adore this game. I do have a query regarding the Devil's Board - say the roll was 1, 1, 5. My understanding would be that you take the 7 result from the 1 table, the 1 result from the doubles table, and the 7 result from the 5 table. The issue is that the 5 table has 8 as the lowest number, not 7. Apologies if this is a misunderstanding, but I'd appreciate if you could clarify how this roll would work. Thanks!
oh that could just be my math was mistaken there! I’d say use the doubles 1 results and then maybe improvise an omen or choose a different one. Sorry about that! I hope to fix on future printings and update the digital then! Thanks for letting me know!
No worries! Thanks for the clarification. I think most of the numbered tables were missing the lowest possible result (X + double 1s). Looking forward to any updates!
Gambling as procedural generation: Players can bet souls on a custom-designed sic bo board, and the GM (or captain) uses that to build out how the next day's challenges will come.
Character playbooks overflowing with flavor: Building a character is quick and doesn't require rolling any stats. The inventory selection for each playbook is precise, with any item offering a wealth of opportunities for backstory.
Clever use of custom and public domain art: The book's layout captures the essence of The Divine Comedy, passing on the gloomy and forbidding tone of its inspiration.
The strong writing: Distilled vignettes, hints of lore, glimpses of setting, whispered voices, and variety haunting epilogues make this game a pleasure to read. It's easy to see how the playbooks, setting, and captain rules can work together to create a focused and thematic game.
The text provides methods for creating a one-shot, few-shot (a few sessions), or full campaign!
we get this question quite a bit! the first, and main reason is that it's set in hell, with players attempting to rise above their sinful nature. This is baked into the core mechanics of the game and can lead to really interesting choices and gameplay. on a deeper level, it's strongly influenced by the creators' religious upbringings and how that affects people and can bring out the worst in them. it's a very gritty game, with no sympathy, and strong religious (and moby dick) tones.
Nice, well answered. As someone raised southern Baptist Christian but also pagan growing up and now pagan, I definitely resonate with how it can bring out the worst in some people. Thanks for the quick reply, thinking I'm gonna review on my channel in the near future.
Hey, just wanted to take a second and give you a shout-out. This is one of the best games I've ever bought, just an amazing experience from cover to cover. Y'all did real good on it.
Hey there! I put an order in over on PlusOneExp, but they’ve not responded about a new target delivery date. Do you know what’s happening over there? It would be nice to get the digital version, too.
Quick question, but do physical copy orders also get the digital versions as well? (I ordered this as a christmas gift and if the physicals dont get here in time I want to give them the digitals)
PlusOneExp said they’re doing digitals with every physical purchase. They just need to update something. Feel free to grab my attention if you don’t get them soon!
It is not Ahab’s fate to slay Moby Dick. It is not Satan’s destiny to overthrow God. And it is not man’s place to snare the Devil.
But your doomed crew will try anyway, commit hubris of the highest order, and if you’re incredibly lucky, fill the Hellwhale’s hide with harpoons, to earn your final reward.

I’ll add a few copies for you. Exchange rates can be awful.
I love the sound of this game. Are you ever going to have more community copies available?
I throw in some periodically, usually 6 at a time. I'll add some right now!
Thank you so much, you made my month.

I’ll write you a custom omen right now.
“The blue-green flame of St. Elmo blazes faintly upon the mast, bathing the ship in soft turquoise light.”
I did a flip through of this game!
What I really love...The text provides methods for creating a one-shot, few-shot (a few sessions), or full campaign!
After reading the description, and bc it's the first time I've ever seen this terminology, what does "christian-religious" horror mean?

Absolutely beautiful book.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Roland! The team is incredibly proud of what we did, but I will pass along the compliments regardless!

I can check in with them; the holidays have them pretty busy right now.
Feel free to email me and I’ll get you a download key! BrewistTabletopGames at gmail.

I’ll double check with our physical publisher! That was my intent. Worst case, I’ll give you a download code.

Awesome! Glad to hear it, Ill update you with a comment either way! :)
Hi! Sorry to bother you, just got the physical versions today (theyre gorgeous!) but still no word on the digital copy.
I can set you up with a digital manually! Feel free to email me. BrewistTabletopGames@gmail.com!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
